Diesel Antifreeze – Flow improverBardahl-Diesel Antifreeze beschermd tot -33C

Bardahl Diesel Antifreeze is a versatile diesel additive. Our diesel antifreeze first of all prevents freezing of the diesel fuel. Bardahl Diesel Antifreeze also ensures better and cleaner combustion.

Using Bardahl Diesel Antifreeze you will achieve the following:

• Reduces the solidification point of diesel fuels and fuel oils to max -33°C (depending on the quality of the diesel).

• Prevents fuel lines and fuel filters from clogging.

• Prevents moisture in the fuel system, because diesel antifreeze also acts as a fuel dryer. The moisture is absorbed and burned with it.

• Prevents corrosion in the fuel system. Diesel antifreeze may be used in any diesel engine (Euro1-Euro6). This anti-flake, as Diesel Antifreeze is also called, prevents the formation of rust and corrosion in the fuel system and pipes. This leads to lower maintenance costs, fewer failures and malfunctions and longer service life of injectors and fuel pump.

Consequences of insufficient protection

When in winter a diesel engine does not want to run or an oil combustion plant refuses, there is a problem that can only be solved with significant costs. Already in a ratio of 1:1000, Bardahl Diesel Antifreeze ensures that the fuel is already protected up to approx. -30 °C (based on winter diesel). The risk of clogging the fuel lines and the fuel filter is a thing of the past.

How to use?

Diesel Antifreeze is suitable for all types of diesel: B7/ biodiesel/ premium blends/ GTL.

Add Diesel Antifreeze to the fuel tank before refueling, when the temperature is above the freezing point of the diesel fuel. Depending on the origin or composition of the diesel fuel, the protection temperature may vary. The 1 liter package has a measuring cup in the cap.

When is Diesel Antifreeze needed?

The problem

Low temperatures, below freezing, are the cause of the formation of paraffin crystals. As the temperature drops further, more and more of these crystals will form.

These crystals have the negative properties of clumping together and spreading throughout the fuel tank. The presence of clumped paraffin crystals in the fuel system and in the fuel tank leads to the clogging of fuel lines and fuel filters.

This in turn results in the engine or burner malfunctioning due to fuel shortage. The fuel filter is a critical component that is very quickly clogged by paraffin crystals during cold and interrupts the fuel supply.

An additional problem is water in diesel.

Each fuel tank will breathe™ under the influence of temperature differences, causing moist air to penetrate the tank. Due to condensation of the moisture in this air, water will eventually form in the tank. This water will partly remain suspended in the fuel, in the form of very small droplets. In frost, this moisture will freeze.

The fuel filter also absorbs this moisture from the diesel. In case of frost, this freezes easily and the filter openings are reduced or even completely clogged. If paraffin crystals are added at low temperatures, the fuel filter will become clogged very quickly.

Use Bardahl Diesel Antifreeze to avoid the above problems.
