The problem is that hoses of a power steering unit tend to ‘sweat’ .

During a routine check it appeared that the ATF II liquid had turned a lilac colour instead of red. This ATF Il also began to foam when it was warm due to delayed changing of the power steering oil.In order to solve this, the system was drained and flushed with ATF II. The hoses were cleaned and degreased. Next, the system was filled with ATF II and Power Steering Stop Leak added.

The result was that the power steering hoses did not sweat anymore.
